Wilson

💧⏰A water clock, also known as a clepsydra, is one of the oldest time-measuring instruments, which link to our week topic-Historia. Its operation is based on the controlled flow of water into a container. It involves constructing a device where water is allowed to flow at a consistent rate, thereby providing a measure of time.

The primary objective of the water clock experiment is to understand how ancient civilizations measured time and to explore the principles of fluid dynamics and timekeeping. Participants will observe the flow rate of water, record the time it takes for a specific volume to accumulate or deplete, and analyze the accuracy and reliability of the water clock.

💡Gain insights into the challenges and innovations of early timekeeping methods and appreciate the evolution of precise timekeeping devices at WIES!
